Philippines
Why the Philippines sucks

I have ordered a guide book for my CGFNS exam from their website to help me pass the test. They shipped the package last June 13 and expected to arrive at my address last June 19. Everything seemed to go smoothly as I tracked the package using the tracking number they provided, until it reached Manila, Philippines last June 16.

Since then, no activity has been observed in the tracking page. It is now June 20 and I still haven't received my package.
I can definitely say that almost all services here in the Philippines suck! It only took three days for it to arrive from Philadelphia, USA to Manila, Philippines. How long would it take to reach here in Davao City? Probably after my exam.
Flores De Mayo (Oh yeah It's MAY!!!)

Everyday in the month of May, children are gathered to take part of seminar, culture study and prayer offering in our little chapel here in our subdivision. The adult offer food for the children who gave their time for Mama Mary. It is a tradition, it is in our culture. But what is Flores de Mayo?
Flores, from Spanish flores or "flowers," also known as Flores de Mayo (flowers of May), Flores de Maria (flowers of Mary) or alay (offering), may refer to the whole Flower Festival celebrated in the month of May in honor of the Virgin Mary .

Why Is The Philippines Poor?
Dear Friends,
Here is a good article sent by Dr. Arsenio Martin of Fort Arthur , Texas ..
Enjoy reading.
THE DIFFERENCE
The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country:
This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.
On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.
Pambansa Series # 2: Lupang Hinirang

Filipinas
[i]Tierra adorada
Hija del sol de Oriente,
Su fuego ardiente
en ti latiendo está.
¡Tierra de amores!
Del heroísmo cuna,
Los invasores
bigas... rice... price!

Pambansa Series # 1: Mango

( :) As the first in a series of posts about the Pinoy in PinoySpy, I thought of showcasing the Philippine National Symbols. I hope this continues until June 12, or whenever the Hobbit decides to warp the holiday.)
The Mango

The Mango, this fruit known scientifically as mangifera indica, is called the National Fruit of the Philippines. It is also claimed by India, Bagladesh, and Pakistan.
Rice Shortage Ba Talaga?

Lately laging laman ng news ang shortage daw sa bigas na isa sa mga pangunahing pagkain ng mga Pilipino, in my opinion wala naman eh, kung meon man hindi ganuon ka-grabe. The problem is,it is not properly "DISTRIBUTED", maraming hoarders at kurakot na tinatago ang supply ng bigas, Meron pa nga ngayong mga fast food at restaurant na "rice all you can". What is your thought about this mga ka-spy?
