Isang napaka gandang almusal talaga ang msa -SILOGS. Mapa TAPSILOG, LONGSILOG, TOCILOG, HOTSILOG, CHICKSILOG (tugudug-chin!), at ano pa. Sumasarap ang mga pagkaing pinoy dahil sa masarap ba FriedRice o sinangag.

As I go along with the years, one lesson that was hammered through my thick skull was, along the road that you'll travel, take a side - hopefully the right one. But hammering it though was only one of those things, the receptivity to the lesson is another.

Putting it in another way, anyone of us should take a side of the issue; whether it may be the correct or the wrong one, the gist of the thing is choose we must from among choices presented to us.

I am a bit ambivalent after reading this article. It momentarily made me proud of being a Filipino because of all the praises the author addressed to us. But if you analyze it closely, you will definitely be ashamed of your own country. Filipinos choose to work abroad because there is almost no hope for us here in the Philippines. Even doctors choose to become nurses just to experience that greener pasture beyond our country's boundaries. Engineers become taxi drivers. Company managers become garbage collectors. All these because of our country's very poor economic state.

Sa mahigit dalawang dekada ng paninirahan ko dito sa aking lupang sinilangan, ang Pilipinas, ay nakita ko ang pag bago ng mga pangalang pinoy. Bagama't hindi ako pinanganak noong dekada sesenta at setenta, ay naaalala ko ang mga pangalan sa mga palabas noong bata pa ako. Nariyan ang Clarita, Pedring, Rosalita, Romano, at Peping. Nariyan din ang Restituto, Anacleto, Anecito, at Armando. Ang mga ito'y iilan lamang sa mga usong pangalan noong araw.
